iPhone dan Mac Meraup Keuntungan Triliyunan

Di tengah gencarnya persaingan industri teknologi, pendapatan per kuartal Apple terus menanjak. Di kuartal ketiga 2015, perusahaan asal Cupertino ini mengantungi pendapatan 49,6 miliar dollar AS atau setara Rp 662 triliun.

Dari pendapatan tersebut, Apple meraup keuntungan senilai 10,7 miliar dollar AS atau sekitar Rp 143 triliun.

Di tahun sebelumnya pada kuartal yang sama, Apple memperoleh pendapatan 37,4 miliar dollar AS (Rp 500 triliun) dan keuntungan bersih 7,7 miliar dollar AS (Rp 102 triliun).

Menurut keterangan tertulis dari Apple, pencapaian tersebut tak lepas dari minat pasar terhadap unit iPhone dan Mac yang ditelurkan Apple. Selain itu, kesuksesan peluncuran Apple Watch juga sedikit banyak berkontribusi terhadap pemasukan perusahaan.

"Ini adalah kuartal yang menakjubkan, dengan pendapatan iPhone meningkat 59 persen dari tahun lalu. Penjualan Mac juga semakin kuat dan didukung awal yang baik untuk produk Apple Watch," kata CEO Apple Tim Cook, sebagaimana tertulis di situs resmi Apple dan dikutip KompasTekno, Rabu (22/7/2015).

Ke depan, kata Cook, Apple akan kembali menciptakan inovasi-inovasi teranyar. Beberapa rencana jangka pendek seperti perilisan sistem operasi komersil untuk perangkat iPhone, Mac dan Watch tengah dipersiapkan.

Kesuksesan Apple juga berkat para investor yang menanamkan saham (shareholders) untuk perusahaan berlogo apel tergigit. Untuk itu Apple juga bakal memberikan dividen tunai bagi para shareholders.

"Aliran dana kami sangat stabil dan kuat. Kami telah mengalirkan lebih dari 13 miliar dollar AS (Rp 173 triliun) untuk para pemegang saham melalui program capital return kami," kata CFO Apple Luca Maestri.
